# Tracetify

> Competitor research tool: paste a domain and get an evidence-backed reconstruction of how that product got its first users, plus the same research exposed as an MCP server and free agent skills.

Tracetify answers "how did X actually grow?" from public records instead of training data. One trace pulls 12 sources (backlink indexes, Hacker News and Reddit archives, the Wayback Machine, SERP data across 8 markets, ad libraries, traffic estimates) and links every claim to a dated page. The same tools run inside Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or any MCP client. Credits start at 19.9 dollars one-time; reading any existing report is free.

## What it does

- **Growth traces**: for any domain, where it was first mentioned, which channels drove traffic, the launch spike, the quiet weeks, and which of those moves are copyable. Every line links to its source.
- **Verdict**: an LLM-written judgment that states its confidence, names the data that would change it, and ends with three dated, costed moves taken from the launch period rather than current traffic.
- **Research tools**: competitor list, domain overview, backlink profile, keyword volume and difficulty, SERP top-10 breakdown, live Meta and Google ads for any domain, AI search brand visibility.
- **Your own data**: read-only Google Search Console connection, site audit after deploy, daily sitemap monitoring of competitors with change alerts.
- **SEO agent**: multi-step research on your own Search Console data that shows a cost ceiling before each run and bills only what it uses.
- **MCP server and skills**: 18 MCP tools (7 free) and three free agent skills that work without an account.
